Signing up is simple: either fill out the form that’s at the top right of this page, click on the many links dotted throughout this page, or complete the one at the bottom. This will then include you in the database of other Street Teamers. 

But before we get to any of that, let’s answer a few questions to make sure you really understand what you're getting and that you want to Join My Street Team. 

 

 

Who is this group for?
You, the reader (duh). But not only do you have to have read my Detective Jake Tanner series to become part of my Street Team, you also want to be excited about new releases, and be willing to spread the word. The reason for this? Because you're just as passionate as I am about my terror thrillers and an authors’ hard-earned success! Plus, you also like to be rewarded for your relentless efforts.

 

What is a Street Team?

 If you have never joined - or even heard of - a street team before, then great! Because this is my first ever time in creating one also, so we can go along with it together. Whereas, if you are familiar with the term "Street Team", then you are just as welcome to join. 

Members of my Street Team, TEAM TANNER, will be the ones on the front line, the ones who are spreading the news of my newest books, and the ones reaping the rewards. 
 

Sound good so far, right?

TEAM TANNER members will purchase/download my latest novels, read them, and then rave about them everywhere. And when I say everywhere, I don't mean everywhere. Don't worry - I won't be asking you to go out on the high street in your nearest town and flagging people down to preach about how good my books are. (Although, if you did, then I would be eternally grateful and you would definitely earn some extra brownie points!).

Instead of doing that, and because we live in a digital age, all I ask that you leave reviews and spread the news and good reviews on social media and the online retailer where you downloaded the book. The more people who read my books the better - and the best thing, you'll be a part of it.

How you can help...

There are many ways members of TEAM TANNER can help, and below is a list of some of the responsibilities. Of course, this is not to be taken as gospel and if you want to go rogue and go the extra mile then by all means, please do. Whatever you do is still greatly appreciated. 

Anyway, here's that highly-coveted list:

 

• you’ll know he’s got a real kick-ass thriller out and TeamAs a member of Jack Probyn's Street think to yourself “oh my God, I want to download it!”. So you do. It's as simple as that.

• Then, once you've read the kick-ass book, you’ll post an honest review on the online retail store in which you purchased the book from, whether it be Amazon, iBooks, Kobo, Google Play or Nook. If you didn't like the latest book, then say. If you did enjoy the latest book, then say just as much. Your honest feedback is important to my development not only as a writer, but also as a human.

• In order to spread the word about Jack’s kick-ass Jake Tanner novel (because it is going to be AWESOME), you'll share any promotional materials that you are given on any of your social media pages to spread the word as much as possible.

 

So there you have it. Not that much to do, right? The reason for all of this online communication with readers is because it is the best way a writer can gain exposure. And that all boils down to one thing: word of mouth. Without physically recommending the book, no one is going to believe it is as good as made out to be. Examples of this are everywhere: let's say you need a conservatory installed in your house, and for hours you've searched online but you don't know if someone’s trustworthy enough to do it without there being any issues afterwards. Oh wait, you've got a friend or a neighbour who’s just had their's done, and they recommend them to you because they've done such a wonderful job on your neighbour’s house.

The exact same thing happens for writers and is needed by writers, in order to grow their fan base. As a writer, I greatly value any and all support you give, so please join my Street Team if you are really passionate and excited about my books. 

It's also worth noting that the tasks in the above Street Team list are not compulsory. They are encouraged, not a requirement, so do not feel like you have to do any of it. Although, if you’ve made it this far then I'm hoping that you will have already set in your mind you would like to join my Street Team and are willing to help out the author in any way you can.

Of course, you will be rewarded aplenty for your efforts. And I mean it. Because if the shoe was on the other foot, I would want something in return for everything I've done for the author. Which is fine - it's human nature. Subsequently, I only think it fair I do the same for my fans.

• Acceptance into a very exclusive Facebook Group where you will find all of the other members of my Street Team. In the Facebook Group you will be able to talk to me, ask me questions, and also speak with other Tanner enthusiasts. The possibilities for this are endless.
